How to recognize bed bugs?
The common bed bug is a type of insect that feeds on human blood. It is a wingless insect with three pairs of legs and four-segment antennae.
These pests may resemble an apple seed in appearance, and since they are most commonly found where you sleep, they are often referred to as bed bugs.

The development of bed bugs consists of three stages – egg, nymph, and adult.
How did bed bugs get into your home?
It is often believed that bed bugs only live in dirty and neglected environments. However, this is not entirely true. These unwanted pests can infest even perfectly clean homes and are also commonly found in luxury hotels and public spaces.
Call immediately at +420 724 123 321. We will eliminate bed bugs quickly and effectively!
If you keep your home clean, how can bed bugs get inside? You can bring them home in second-hand clothing, antique furniture, or even in your luggage from a vacation. Bed bugs can also travel on their own, for example from neighboring apartments.
Where do bed bugs usually hide?
- beds, armchairs, and sofas,
- mattresses, bedding, upholstery, or clothing,
- pet beds and hiding places,
- cracks in floors, walls, and furniture,
- window and door frames,
- edges of carpets,
- joints and skirting boards.

Bed bugs are gregarious insects, meaning they tend to gather and form large colonies.

DIY bed bug extermination
People often struggle with how to eliminate bed bugs quickly, safely, and effectively. To save money, they attempt to deal with the infestation themselves. Unfortunately, DIY methods do not work on bed bugs and can even make the situation worse.
You will never get rid of bed bugs on your own. Contact DeraPro instead!
Although bed bugs may seem harmless, they reproduce very quickly and over-the-counter products are ineffective. In fact, common insecticides available in stores are too weak and only irritate the pests, making future professional treatment more difficult. It is best to avoid repellents and other “guaranteed” solutions.

The presence of bed bugs is usually indicated by itchy bites and their droppings, which resemble small black dots (see image).

What should you do before our technicians arrive?
If you have ordered bed bug extermination from DeraPro, you will not regret it. Before our specialists arrive, here are a few tips to make the process easier.
How to prepare before treatment?
- Check all bedding, mattresses, and pillows.
- Clear storage space under the bed.
- Empty bedside tables and furniture in affected rooms.
- Wash bedding at 60 °C.
- Do the same with clothing and pet bedding.
- Increase room temperature to accelerate egg hatching.
- Freeze non-washable items for one week (-17 °C).
- Do not move or discard infested furniture.
- Vacuum thoroughly and dispose of the bag safely.
How does professional extermination work?
When our trained staff arrive, they will explain the entire process. We use special insecticides that are safe when used correctly. The treatment is usually performed in the morning, and the area must remain unoccupied for 8 hours.
Methods used
- Aerosol to flush bed bugs out of hiding.
- Residual insecticide spraying.
- Injection into cracks and crevices.
After 8 hours, rooms must be ventilated for at least 30 minutes. You may also notice increased activity as poisoned bugs leave hiding places.
Three treatments are required for complete elimination!
No single treatment can eliminate bed bugs completely, as eggs remain unaffected. Therefore, three treatments at 14-day intervals are required. We charge per treatment and offer a 100% guarantee after completion.
Safety is always our top priority when applying insecticides!
What to do and avoid after treatment?
After professional extermination, you are close to solving the problem. To ensure effectiveness, follow these rules:
- do not clean,
- do not vacuum,
- do not mop.
Cleaning too early may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. You can clean on the 13th day before the next visit.
Since bed bugs are most often found in bedrooms, we recommend sleeping in the same bed. They are attracted by carbon dioxide and will come into contact with the insecticide.
